The post-war cars, such as the Plan 4132 Colonials did have a belt-rail. The pre-war cars such as the Plan 4078 Colonials did not. I wish NKP had etched a pair of belt rails instead of the "runner"...

Doug,I usually scribe a line on the brass with a new #11 blade or a sewing needle where the top of the belt rail comes up under the windows. I attach it to the car by using Testors or Ambroid Pro Weld...

DOUG: I lay a piece of masking tape down and check with a straight edge,then tack down styrene belt rail.remove tape and if correct finish afixing. BILL FAITH
